One last opportunity to walk into the exam with a plan
Most parents message me with the same worry:
“My child works hard. They know the content. But somehow the marks don’t show it.”
This usually comes down to exam technique, not effort.
These Day Before the Exam (DBE) masterclasses are a timed past paper drill for each OCR A Chemistry paper. Your child will practise tough questions under time pressure to give them a last-minute push before exam day, then I’ll show them exactly how to answer in a way that hits the mark scheme.
This is not extra teaching. It’s a final-stage exam technique prep.
How each session works
Timed attempt first
Your child attempts each question under exam timing. We’ll keep it strict to mimic exam conditions they’ll face the following day.
Full A* walkthrough
I then break down the approach, the structure, and the exact wording that earns marks. This is the “how to write it” part students miss.
Fix the mistakes
We focus on the common patterns: missing key phrases, weak evaluation, poor structure in weightier question, and lost marks in calculations.
By the end of each session
They’ll know what to tighten up to be as ready as they can be for the exam the next day.
